As of today, Darrington SD Food Services and Transportation have provided nearly 7700 meals to area youth. Remember to come to the school weekdays 11:30 AM-12:30 PM, or on bus routes starting at 11 AM, to receive breakfasts and lunches. All area youth are eligible for this program.

Meals on Wheels, Lunch Service Update
We set a new high on Thursday with 252 lunches served. Each day students receive a lunch as well as a breakfast for the following day. These Grab-and-Go meals are served at the school for those who live in town, and distributed along our bus routes. Since the program began, we have served 2911 units for a total of over 5800 meals! Thank you students, parents, and staff for your hard work in fighting food insecurity during Stay Home, Stay Healthy!

School Closure Extended Through End of School Year
Moments ago, Gov. Inslee extended the school closure through the remainder of the 2019-20 school year. In his remarks the governor reiterated that schools will continue to serve students, and learning will continue during the closure. We are committed to providing the best learning experiences possible for each one of our students, and will continue to work together to do everything we can do serve our students and our community.

With 221 meals served today, we are proud to have provided over 1000 meals to youth in our community in the past five days, and over 1400 since the closure. A huge thank you to our food service and transportation staff for your commitment to battling food insecurity during the closure!!
